Catholicate College owes its existence to the innate vision of the greatly lamented H.H Baselios Geevarghese II, the Catholicos of the Malankara Orthodox Church and H.G. Puthencavil Geevarghese Mar Philoxenos, the then Metropolitan of Thumpamon Diocese. The college had the prayerful guidance of H.G.Daniel Mar Philoxenos, the first principal of the college, and who later became the Metropolitan of Thumpamon Diocese.
